until I fall asleep
Today is a total chill day. I honestly don't plan on moving, at all. Throughout the week I have been going to the gym every evening which is a little out of the ordinary. But I haven't been working too hard that I'm overdoing it, but my muscles do ache which is bittersweet. I do need to increase my fitness level, but I'm also incredibly lazy so there's not much room for motivation in the exercise department. This wishlist totally reflects my mood as I'm feeling really relaxed and tranquil as anyone on a Sunday should. The 3.1 Phillip Lim Jersey Cropped T-Shirt and Emma Shorts from Monki are at the top of my list today because I always wear this kind of attire when I don't plan on moving for a few hours. I love that the cropped shirt is made of a jersey sweatshirt fabric, which means it's very soft and stretchy; and less likely to irritate your skin. The pull-on is 52% nylon and 48% cotton - a perfect balance for comfort. To match the cropped tee, I chose 100% cotton shorts because I know they'll be soft and cosy but not too warm to wear inside.
Recently, I have started to appreciate trainers and sportswear in general a lot more. As the weather is getting so much cold, and the wind is really picking up, sometimes there's nothing cosier than slipping on your gym-gear and favourite trainers. These Nike Hi-Tops are in my wishlist to match the rest of the items in my set but also continue the theme of casual comfort. On any chill-day, I will have a bath. No matter the time of day, I will have a bath to help me feel relaxed and detox. I have chosen the Star Light, Star Bright bath melt from Lush to be in this week's wishlist as suits the theme perfectly - and I love the shape and smell. The star is lime and ginger-scented, two of my favourite fragrances, and it has a shea butter fondant centre which is great for the skin. Although this bath melt is usually exclusive to the Christmas-y time of year, I couldn't help but include it on this super-chill Sunday.

Perfect Patchwork

Wearing an oversized shirt as a dress is a big risk, but sometimes it can work. My shirt is quite long, and actually gets longer in the back which makes me feel much more comfortable. I think this look would be great for a holiday (of course without tights), but I have found it works for this season too. My inside leg measurement is also 35.5 inches which is considered rather long; making this shirt quite risky for me. If you prefer to wear leggings, I think that works perfectly too. I also love the two different shades of blue on this shirt even though it's one fabric. That's one way to 'spice up' a simple button-up shirt without going overboard for Autumn. Denim is such a versatile fabric, which comes in so many colours so I know I will be able to style this top in many different ways to suit so many different occasions. It's one of those shirts that can be styled up and styled down. You may select this shirt as a focus point for a casual look, or it can be used in layering in the colder seasons. On the other hand, pairing this shirt with the perfect formal jacket, skirt or trousers can immediately add elegance. The denim isn't too thick and isn't as all stiff which makes my top comfortable all day unlike a lot of pure cotton or denim shirts I own that can grow uncomfortable after a long period of time.

Bonfire of the Vanity

The bright blue coat is back. Every now and then this coat makes a sly return and I always end up wearing it somewhere. At first glance, there wouldn't be many items in my wardrobe I could pair this jacket with, but there are actually many different styles that this coat blends well with. Today I have chosen a dress that will harmonise with the coat rather than clash. Sometimes I can wear pieces that will totally contrast with the bright blue colour and create a colour block effect but I've found that to be more of a summer trend. However, because the weather is a litter cheerier today, I chose a dress that does include colours such as pink and orange in to brighten up my outfit. On the colour chart, orange is the contrasting colour to blue, so I have a hint of a subtle colour block in this look. Today's dress is another favourite of mine that I couldn't abandon last season. The colours do remind me of summer, but I have somehow managed to convince myself that it's suitable for autumn.

The Wild Brunch

For the first time today, I'm going from brunch. Being completely honest, I have absolutely no idea what kind of food you would eat at brunch but I know food will definitely be there so I'm eager to attend. I'm from West Yorkshire, and we're a broad breed of people who eat whatever whenever so I'm actually quite excited. There's something about eating out that makes food taste so much better. The huge shopping mall in Leeds named Trinity Leeds has an entire section inside called Trinity Kitchen which is almost as magical as Red Hot Buffet. There's just so much food! Over the years I have really become a food enthusiast and I don't really know how. And now that I'm technically an adult with a wage, I know the value of a British Pound and treasure good food when I can. I would class brunch as quite a casual event, I don't think there's any need to dress up too much and I also know that I'll be going to a restaurant that's incredibly relaxed in the city centre. Skater shoes have become a wardrobe favourite for me because I can pair them with anything and they instantly look relaxed. As my dress and attire is very colloquial, I added these all-black shoes for a touch of formality yet laid-back feel - plus, I really like wearing them with dresses or skirts. Choosing all-black accessories was intentional as I wanted most of the focus of today's look to be on my dress. It's one of my favourites because the stretchy jersey fabric is incredibly cosy and it has splashes of velvet colour, my favourite fabric. I've found this dress to be the ultimate go-to for an easygoing ensemble.

Girly Biker

Today's outfit is very daring. It may not seem so at a first look, but it's very cold and windy outside so it's pretty daring for me. Fortunately, the wind isn't too strong so I don't have to worry about any Monroe moments but despite today's outfit being coat-less I'm still warm enough. The magic is all in the undergarments. My top is rather cosy, as it's made of a knitted fabric that contains tiny traces of wool which keeps me warm, but underneath, I'm wearing a basic black vest top, made of a thermal fabric so I don't feel the chills. Little outfit pieces like this are essential for me this season because I'm always complaining about being cold. They're excellent for layering, and a lot of the time, you can buy the fabric and make up a tank top yourself rather then buying an overpriced product. I'm a dress and skirt person, and I love to wear them no matter what time of year it is so heat-holding clothing is my calling. As today's look is quite girly, I'm wearing my favourite faux leather combat boots with a zipper and lace fastening. I've found that these boots pair well with everything because of their colour, which I'm calling off-black and the fastenings can be altered to create different styles. For example, if I pull the laces a lot tighter like today, they resemble calf boots which is the look I was going for. To finish my outfit, I'm carrying my 'everyday' handbag from Next.
