Exploring in Floral
15 June 2017
Eldwick, UK
Going for walks has got to be one of my favourite things to do. It’s a very basic activity, you don’t need much, but the benefits are always positive. Whenever I’m in a bad mood, not feeling well, or want to get some easy exercise in, I just go for a walk. Luckily for me, I live in quite the scenic area of Yorkshire, so a beautiful stroll is only two steps away.
Converse have become a big go-to shoe to me recently, and I feel like up until now, I was really taking them for granted. I’ve had this classic pair since school, and they’re still in top condition (minus the mud). I love how they add a casual twist to this look paired with a denim jacket. Converse all the way! Shop the pieces from this look below!

One of my favourite things about living in Yorkshire is the
scenery that’s simply footsteps away. It’s one of the main reasons I won’t move
to London, I need these kind of views every day. I live in a tiny village in
the West of Yorkshire, with moors right outside my bedroom windows. However,
between the moors and my house, is this huge valley which everyone just calls “The
Woods”. It’s easily become my happy place, because it’s hidden, untouched and
peaceful. The only sounds you can hear are from the brook that runs through the
valley and hundreds of birds. It’s one of the best places to run away to, and
as it’s so close to home I’m there basically every day.
My Top Travel Destinations
8 November 2016
London, UK
Technically, we’re nowhere near the end of the year – but
I’m already feeling reflective and it’s time I do something about it… write a
blog post. Anyway, it’ll be Christmas before we know it and then it’s New
Years’ Eve and 2017 begins. I can’t wait, I think it’s going to be an awesome
year. Anyway, I haven’t done an awful lot of travelling this year, and even
though I’ve experienced so much more through blogging, I still miss jetting off
somewhere nice. Believe it or not, I’ve only had one beach holiday in my entire
life, and it blew my mind. I also went to Oslo
in 2015 – best city ever. Still, there are many more places I want to go.
Next Spring 2017 Press Day
6 November 2016
Marylebone, London, UK
The lovely people at Next invited me down to London on 02
November to check out some of the pieces that will be features in the Spring
2017 collection, from Womenswear right through to the stunning Homeware range. Spending
a day in London is exciting as it is, but being able to have a sneak peak and
the newest trends is one sweet cherry on top. As I walked into One Marylebone,
the wide variety of clothing and
accessories immediately gave me a ‘jungle’ feel, as the shelves were decorated
with leaves, vibrant green plants and wooden crates. The room was lively,
perfect for spring.
Next's #ProjectTaxi Blogger Event
2 October 2016
Shoreditch, UK
On Thursday 29 September, I travelled from Leeds Train Station all the way to King's Cross in London to attend an event the lovely girls at Next invited me to. I've been to a few events with Next, but as always, I was feeling incredibly nervous about being around such amazing and talented people. My night was actually made much better by my new blogger friend, Monique from glitterandgrimes.com, who reached out to me on Twitter after I tweeted about being alone - how lovely! Check out some of the photos from the event below:
Overall, I really enjoyed the event, especially the amazing cocktails that were on offer, I had two drinks and was ready to party! Not only was it amazing to see some of the stunning accessories Next has to offer, including the Velvet Print Boots which were a personal favourite for me, but it was amazing to see some of the bloggers I have looked up to for so long! From Patricia Bright to Leanne Lim-Walker, I saw so many of my favourites! As a bit of a newbie blogger, it can be really hard to meet new people and this event was no different - it's super scary to just approach people and introduce yourself, luckily most the bloggers were very friendly and flashed a smile.
Regarding the displays and accessories, Next is definitively stepping up their game as a high street store, a lot of the items on show reminded me of the type of pieces you would see in Zara; sophisticated but simple and stylish. I'm not big on clothing/accessories that's over the top, or I think an outfit should have just the one staple piece for an every day look, and a lot of the bolder shoes by Next could be that staple. The event was absolutely brilliant and I loved being back in London - thanks Next!
