Style Crush | Chloë Grace Moretz

8 June 2016

Yorkshire, UK
Chloë Grace Moretz has recently become one of my favourite actresses in Hollywood – even though I have many. Despite her age, Chloë has been featured in some amazing films, including Kick-Ass, If I Stay and Neighbours 2. Being completely honest, I never really thought of Chloë as a style icon as she’s not someone who strikes me as flaunting her riches and designer gear. When I think of Chloë, I don’t think of a typical 21st century celebrity with an annoying Instagram feed and three hundred cars. She has a really simple street style, as dresses to suit her taste while subtly staying on trend and in style. Check out ten of my favourite looks from Chloë below!

Regarding her red carpet and appearance looks, Chloë really knows how to show off a good pattern and invests well in pieces that will catch an eye without being so over the top you have to look away. Not only do I love that fact that she doesn’t feel the need to pout for every photo op, but she also loves her basic casual wardrobe. It’s realistic and comfortable – not everyone walks around in Louboutin’s on a regular Wednesday. Chloë is a style crush for me, because she wears clothing that I can also wear. Her style is youthful, which inspires me to dress in more colour and experiment with my closet a little more. Majority of the young girls in the public eye spend thousands on an outfit, which could also be the case for Chloë occasionally, but she’s an easy fashion idol to imitate because her style is so effortlessly chic!

Style Crush: Vanessa Hudgens

Vanessa Hudgens has always been one of my favourite celebrities. Since being 10 years old and watching the first High School Musical, I’ve been obsessed with her (and the rest of the cast). As much as I adore Vanessa’s acting and singing skills, her style has always been a crucial factor and is often watched by pop culture sites and blogs. Coachella is basically Vanessa’s ‘thing’, making her the queen of festival style and bohemian chic. Similarly, her everyday street style never fails to impress, even when she’s walking Darla!
Vanessa is one of the most stylish young celebrities I follow and easily one of my favourites. She makes normal, everyday outfits seem super stylish with a few accessories and plenty of confidence. Vanessa never goes OTT with colour or patterns, and when broken down, her ensembles are not complex but always give off a fashionable and put-together vibe - plus, she never adds pieces that will clash. I absolutely adore Vanessa's style and phenomenal fashion taste!

Style Crush: Chrissy Teigen

31 October 2015

Everyone adores Chrissy for her humble personality and relatable sense of humour. She also has an amazing sense of style making her the ultimate style crush.
I can't be the only one looking forward to Chrissy's future maternity style!
One thing I've noticed is that Chrissy has a really fun style that's always chic. She doesn't usually go out of her way to look good, and has the confidence to make every ensemble effortless. Chrissy's sense of style is likely to come from her amazing experience in fashion and great relationship with some of the world's biggest designers. She is a huge fan of dresses, and has a naturally feminine approach to chosing the gown for her.
Whether it's a velvet red carpet or a New York stroll, Chrissy can easily rock the mini or full-length. The Sports Illustrated model has a marvellous figure, but will often be spotted wearing a pair of killer heels to elongate her legs and increase her level of sex appeal. I also think Chrissy's personality shines through in some of the pieces she wears. For example, at the Spike Guys Choice Awards in 2014, Chrissy wore this amazing bright yellow number by by Three Floor. The dress is short, fun and playful which matches Chrissy's bright nature and smile.
Her outfits manage to remain chic and never fall short, making Chrissy one of my favourite style crushes to date.

Style Crush: Lauren Conrad

30 September 2015

Lauren Conrad has remained one of my favourite celebrities from the beginning of Laguna Beach back in 2004. Despite only being 8 years old, I was still drawn to Lauren for her down-to-earth attitude and growing personal style. As she showed more interest in fashion, even studying this during her time on The Hills from 2006 onwards, Lauren's street and social style has developed into an inspirational wardrobe and created closet envy worldwide. She has studied at an elite fashion school (Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising) and working with some of the most iconic names in the modern fashion industry (Teen Vogue, Kelly Cutrone and Kohl's). I think Lauren's experiences and amazing sense of style inspire many, including herself, as she continues to build her empire.
Lauren's style has always had a girly element to it, which is why we often find her in dresses and skirts when out in the public eye. I think her feminine touch was visible from early stages while on The Hills and has continued to influence the way she dresses. She usually pics a basic shoe, making her clothing items the staple pieces and centre of her look. One thing I've noticed is that Lauren never overly-accessorizes and is perfectly happy with a simple colour scheme. She never collides a wild variety of colour to create something extraordinary, but her sense of confidence and happiness also show through in each look she pulls off. I'm drawn to Lauren's wardrobe because of it's naturally girly quirk and ability to look chic no matter the occasion. Whether it's an outfit for a photoshoot or pop culture appearance, Lauren has continued to stay one of my number one style crushes.
