I have never ever carried a satchel... until today. When I was in school, everyone had one and they were such a huge trend it actually put me off them. I saw so many people with them in so many different colours and prints I just never desired one. But this was during my 'going against the status quo' phase so anything anyone else had, I wanted the opposite. Recently which shopping in the handbag gold mine that is TK Maxx, I found this faux snakeskin satchel for only £15.00 and just had to buy one. My opinion on these bags has totally changed and I see what the 'hype' was about. Firstly, I love the structure of the bags and that they're really well structured. Often with drawstring or hobo bags, there isn't much structure and I always end up losing something somehow. I really like to be organised, and everything to be in the correct place so I adore this bag for it's thick and sturdy structure to stop me losing all my essentials. The bag has a little window for a name tag which I thought was really cool, but I've also found that the dark colour is really easy to pair with many different outfits despite the pattern. Because the bag is black, the snakeskin pattern appears quite subtly and even shimmers in natural lighting. I wore this bag with a favourite new skirt of mine which follows a flare style and I think it's perfect for autumn. It's quite similar to the skirt I wore on Monday which I also paired with boots. My jacket is a new autumn favourite of mine because it's so warm and cosy; plus, it's a lighter grey so it easily matches a lot of items in my wardrobe.

Aztec Autumn

Autumn is so close and it's my favourite time of the year. I love to wear jumpers, and long-sleeved tops and Autumn is the perfect time to experiment with different styles while the weather is still reasonable. Knitted jumpers and onsies are a guilty pleasure of mine, so I can't wait to pull all of those out of the back of my closet. Autumn also means it's time to shop for more autumnal clothes, and I can wear darker colours without worrying I'll get too warm. I recently bought this aztec print jacker from Next that I think is perfect for autumn. I like that it's a lighter colour and has hints of pink in, so it does brighten some of my clothing. I will usually just pair this jacket with a plain black top, like today; I've found it really easy to layer underneath, but usually just with plain colours that don't clash with any colours in the print. I haven't yet layered on top of the jacket because of it's large collar, so that's an exciting feature on it's own - rather than piling scarves on top. This jacket goes best with jeans (of any colour) in my opinion, and I did get a size larger so that I could wear something other than vest tops underneath in case it's a little colder outside.

I think I've found yet another outfit piece that has the potential to be so over-worn by me I end up wearing it nearly every day. This is a little annoying habit of mine, when I find something I like, it's almost like I become emotionally attached to this item of clothes and I can't help but wear it as much as possible. My denim shirt was bought in the Next sale and I'm absolutely crazy about it, simple because it's so versatile and I can wear it in so many ways! Perfect. The first thing I liked about the shirt is the two different tones of denim, which gives it a unique edge among the rest. The length also makes it incredibly versatile for so many different occasions. Today I'm wearing it as an oversized shirt, all buttoned up with my favourite disco leggings. However, this shirt can also be worn as a jacket, and a longer one as the denim is so thick - shielding you against the cold. With the sleeves rolled down, I've also worn this shirt as a dress with tights and heels booties to an evening meal. With a sophisticated jacket over the top, this shirt is easily dressed up as easy as it can be dressed down. I like that it's oversized, so it's really comfortable for me to wear all day long, and even for work as the dress code is very relaxed there. I can't wait to experiment with more looks!

Effectively Effeminate

I wouldn't call myself a feminine dresser, I'm not typically really girly person but sometimes I like to add a touch of pink to feminise an outfit. Pointing out that pink doesn't necessarily mean it's become ladylike, that's just in the case of today's outfit. My wardrobe consists of a lot of dark colours, which is a habit I'm currently trying to break and have been succeeding at throughout summer, but autumn is on it's way which means leather jackets and warm knits. I recently bought this skirt from Next, and I was actually drawn to the colour because it's a lighter pink I would never ever ever usually wear, however; I had a "why not" moment and decided to buy it - plus, the skirt was in the sale so there's no harm in saving money on the go. The fabric is light pink, and then has a really subtle off-white pattern in it which is a 'raised' texture that looks really good in natural lighting. The skirt actually comes in a skater dress form, with the exact same material and pattern. I preferred the skirt because I think sometimes you can have too much of a pattern and it becomes overbearing, especially for such a distinct colour. Despite all the darker colours in my outfit, I think this drop of baby pink adds an element of femininity. I paired the skirt with some dark grey combat boots because the weather's dropping a little and my favourite leather jacket.

I've noticed it's been a really long time since I've done a wishlist. I usually do these through Polyvore because it's like a portal to every item I've ever wanted - I absolutely love it. I think this set has a little bit of an 'artsy' vibe, it's definitely something I can see an Art or creative student wearing because it's so cool and casual. The Monki Asta singlet is something that's been in my 'liked' list on Polyvore for a while. The back of the top is what makes it unique and stand out because I think it's quite daring, but perfect for the last few weeks of summer left. Similarly, the boyfriend jeans from H&M are ideal for August. The weather during this time can really go either way, and a little breeze makes all the difference so I've added these jeans to this wishlist because they're really cool to wear in the sun, and warm enough when the clouds take over. I've wanted some All Star Low Converse for a while now so they had to be included in today's post. Although I haven't yet decided on the colour, I like the maroon pair. No shoe is more iconic than the Chuck Taylor All star and they're always a summer essential. I've noticed a lot of bloggers and YouTubers using the Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 Camera as well as seeing them all over Instagram. I live in quite a scenic area of Yorkshire, and this camera would be absolutely perfect for capturing some amazing landscapes throughout the year. I do actually have a Polaroid camera I found in the 'junk box' which is really useful but incredibly heavy! The Eastsport mesh backpack is an item I saw in another set on Polyvore and was immediately drawn to. The mesh fabric used for the body of the bag is nothing I've ever seen before and it's such a great price! It's very simple like the ASOS rings but the few features differ it from the rest to make a street style look.
